Note: Sun Fire 280R requires Fan Tray 540-5088
(see Notes below).

Notes

  1. The minimum Sun Blade 1000 and Sun Fire 280R OS is Solaris 8 10/01.
  2. The Sun Blade 2000 and Netra 20 require Solaris >= 8 2/02 with Patches 109815, 109888, and 111874 and OBP 4.5 Version 10 (OBP 4.6.7 or higher is recommended).
  3. The Sun Blade 1000 and Sun Fire 280R require OBP version 4.4 Version 6 or greater (OBP 4.6.7 or higher is recommended).
  4. The Sun Blade 1000 system board supports mixed module speeds if the UltraSPARC III frequency is a whole number multiple of 150MHz.
  5. Mixing module speeds in the Sun Fire 280R is not supported.
  6. Mixing module speeds in the Netra 20 is not supported.
  7. Mixing UltraSPARC III and UltraSPARC III Cu is not supported.
  8. If only one CPU module is installed, it must be in Slot 0.
  9. Sun Fire 280R systems need Fan Tray X9820A (540-5088) to support 501-6002.
    Systems built and shipped after December 4, 2001, will include the fan tray.
  10. Use torque tool 340-6091 or 340-6395 to install this module.
    Both are calibrated to 5.0 +/- 0.5 in/lbs (.565 Nm).
  11. A torque tool is included with systems that use this module.
