Sun StorEdge T3 (Purple) Arrays shipped prior to General Availability have the potential of experiencing intermittent parity or 'no cache found' errors. Sun StorEdge T3 Arrays with hubs are not supported with controllers earlier than revision J7. Shown below are typical error messages:

  • 0 MBytes Cache Memory Detected
  • 125722 Cache memory parity error detected

To recover from the above failure the array would need to be rebooted. The problem results in a loss of data access, not actual data loss.
