Components Affected Description
A0186-1
U
SunPCi II (375-0131-04) and SunPCi IIpro (375-3051-01) cards SunPCi II and SunPCi IIpro cards may not respond after rapid/successive power cycling.
A0182-1
C
18GB and 36GB IBM disk drives 18GB and 36GB IBM disk drives experiencing high failure rate in high humidity and high temperature environments.
A0173-1
U
CPU Module SR 400MHz (501-5741-01), CPU Module SR 360MHz (501-5148-06), CPU Module SR 440MHz (501-5149-08) Ultra 5 and Ultra 10 systems with Sapphire Red Modules have shown an increase in early life failures.
A0152-1
U
4-slot Riser Card (370-3197-02 or below)

PCI cards in Ultra 10 not accessible due to mechanical alignment and seating problems with the PCI Riser card. There are no error messages that indicate that the card is not seated correctly.

You may be able to determine if the card is not properly installed by looking at the connectors. The card should be parallel and even with the connector, the PCI card should not appear to be at an angle. The root cause has been attributed to the design of the support bracket.

A0143-1
M
System Board (375-0066-03) Reverse capacitor failure in Ultra 5 and Ultra 10 systems. Reverse bias voltage in excess of 20% of manufacturing specification will cause early life failure of the capacitor and, in addition, may cause damage to surrounding PCB or components and/or product functional failure.
A0139-1
U

PGX PCI-based 8-bit Frame Buffer (370-2256-02)

Systems with a PGX PCI-based 8-bit Frame Buffer may display a vertical black stripe when running the OpenWindows environment. This occurs only with frame buffers with an Fcode version 1.09 (determined by reading the label on the EPROM located at U4 on the frame buffer: 113-377-1-109).

A0128-2
U
System Board (375-0009-05 or below)

Ultra 5 and Ultra10 systems may experience fuzzy video, slow booting, and serial port hang when using the external clock source as transfer clock in SYNC mode (X.25).
