PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Installation of Solaris 2.6 hw3 on a Netra t 1120/25 with 440Mhz
processors or any Netra t 1400/05 will fail unless the image has kernel
update patch 105181-XX (-10 or above) is applied. The installation of 
Solaris 2.6 hw3 affects on every systems that has 440MHz processors.

Additions for FIN I0543-2;

This update adds the Netra t 1120 / 1125 / 1400 / 1405 to the product 
affected section since they are also updated by the above problem. No
other changes have been made.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: 

Enterprise Customers and Authorized Enterprise Field Service 
Representatives may avoid the above mentioned installation
problem by following the recommendation shown below:

The recommended solution for this problem is to create an install
server containing the Solaris 2.6 image, download the patch 105181
or greater from SunSolve and apply that patch to the image using
installpatch -C (as documented in the Solaris 2.6 installation
manual).  If the installation must be done using a cdrom, then the user
must first obtain a copy of CD0 "Operating Environment Installation
cdrom (September 1999)" part number 704-6914-xx.  They can then boot
from this cd and follow the instructions presented at the console
before inserting the standard installation cd.

Implementation Footnote:

i)   In case of MANDATORY FINs, Enterprise Services will attempt to    
     contact all affected customers to recommend implementation of 
     the FIN. 
   
ii)  For CONTROLLED PROACTIVE FINs, Enterprise Services mission critical    
     support teams will recommend implementation of the FIN  (to their  
     respective accounts), at the convenience of the customer. 

iii) For REACTIVE FINs, Enterprise Services will implement the FIN as the   
     need arises.
