BugId: 4762654 - Grover_re-spin motherboard is reporting wrong part number.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Use of the /usr/sbin/prtconf (1M) command on the Sun Blade 100 platform
will always return part number "375-0096", regardless of which System
Board is installed in the system. This problem has no impact on system
operation but could be a serviceability issue for support personnel.

This issue affects all Sun Blade 100 systems. When the print
configuration command 'prtconf -vp |grep model | head -1' is run on a
Sun Blade 100, the following output is displayed:

    model: 'SUNW,375-0096'

This output will be the same no matter which System Board is
installed. Ordinarily, the output should reflect the correct System
Board part number such as 375-3061, 375-3092, 375-3123, or 375-3106.

This issue occurs because the System Board part number is hardcoded in
the OBP as "375-0096" for all System Board versions. There will be no
fix for this problem. The recommended workaround is to visually
inspect the System Board for the correct part number.

IMPLEMENTATION:

         ---
        | | MANDATORY (Fully Proactive)
         ---

         ---
        | | CONTROLLED PROACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)
         ---

         ---
        | X | REACTIVE (As Required)
         ---

CORRECTIVE ACTION:

The following recommendation is provided as a guideline for authorized
Sun Services Field Representatives who may encounter the above
mentioned problem.

Support personnel should not rely on the output of the
/usr/sbin/prtconf command in determining the part number for a Sun
Blade 100 System Board. A visusal inspection of the System Board
should be performed instead.

COMMENTS:

None.
