Status Issued

Description
Use the following procedure to load the core OS on a E3500 running Solaris 2.6
 3/98, or 5/98.

1# Boot cdrom and do the core install. Make sure you choose "no reboot" after
     the install is complete.

2# When the installation completes, pkgadd the appropriate packages
for the socal drivers and luxadm utilities :

     # cd /cdrom/cdrom0/s0/Solaris_2.6/Product
     # pkgadd -d . -R /a SUNWluxal
     # pkgadd -d . -R /a SUNWluxdv.u
     # pkgadd -d . -R /a SUNWluxop
     # pkgadd -d . -R /a SUNWhea
     # pkgadd -d . -R /a SUNWssadv
     # halt

If the system has 400+mhz cpu's, you also need to do:

   3# ok setenv auto-boot? false
       ok reset
       ok limit-ecache-size
       ok boot

Once the system is up and running you need to load
        the following 2 patches:

        105181-latest (needed for 400+mhz cpu's)
        105375-latest (luxadm patch)

        Note:
This procedure has been tested from an installation and boot
prospective only. It is the recommendation of the Install and Boot
support group of the Customer Care Center to install the
Entire Distribution Plus OEM support Software Cluster.
