Compatibility for E10K System Board 501-5693

E10000 system board 501-5693 requires SSP 3.3 and patch 108885-02.

Description

The recent introduction of a new E10000 system board 501-5693 requires a specific level of SSP to take full advantage of a Revision 2 CIC ASIC. The Revision 2 CIC ASIC provides the capability of ECC for DTAG parity errors. This new functionality requires SSP 3.3 and patch 108885-02 to be installed to fully enable the ECC capability.

It is recommended to upgrade to SSP 3.3 and install patch 108885-02 as a preventative measure for the possibility of 501-5693 system board being installed at any point in the future. As always you should check for all recommended patches when updating the SSP level.

Note: This patch(108885-02) requires autoconfig to be run for ECC functionality to be active. Failure to run autoconfig can cause POST to fail on the CIC2 system boards.
