40763   Capturing T3 serial numbers   22 Oct 2001

Status Issued

Description

Created from Americas Technical Bulletin 000331

Contacting the customer to obtain T3 serial numbers is NO longer required for the T3 products. We have been very fortunate to identify an internal manufacturing website where you can now find serial numbers for the T3 products. This website will identify the T3 serial numbers which reside within the rack. Once you receive the T3 report, please use the below website to obtain the serial numbers which will be needed at the time the warranty is turned into a contract. All serial numbers within the rack will remain a requirement when processing the contract once the warranty has expired.
(This is an internal website containing proprietary information. This web site is not for external use).
Important: The information contained in the below website is only available for 45-90 days so it is very important that the information is captured at the time you receive the above mentioned T3 report.
If you miss the 90 day window and the serial numbers no longer reside within the below URL, we will have to contact the customer to get the serial numbers.
Instructions:
1. Select the following URL:
http://wwas-mfg.ebay/diag_tool/index_old.html
2. Select the "Build History (Systems) on the left hand side of the site.
3. Input the rack serial number in the serial number field.  By using the side horizontal bar on the right side of the window, move it all the way up to see the results of your search.
4. At the top of the page you will see many serial numbers.  The serial number(s) you want to capture on the quote/contract for the T3 in the rack is attached to the 540-4459-01 part number.
