Use the following proceedure to get troubleshooting information from a brocade switch.

1. logon to a sun or other unix system

2. start a script from the commandline

$ script /tmp/supportshow

3. telnet to the switch

$ telnet brcd01

4. execute supportshow

> supportshow

5. logout of the switch

> logout

6. break the script session

$ [ctrl-d]

Script done, file is /tmp/supportshow

7. use a text viewer/editor to view the file
