Symptom:

The FC-AL PCI card, FC100/p, Part Number 375-0040 is not seen by the Operation System. 
However the FC-AL PCI card, FC100/p can be seen at the OBP.

Solution:

The FC-AL PCI card is supported in the following machines running Solaris 2.6 or later:

A20 - Ultra 450
A25 - Ultra Enterprise 450
A26 - Enterprise 250

In addition, the fcal packages must be installed from the cdrom 
part number 704-6180 (Fiber Channel PCI FC-AL software) which 
is shipped with the hardware.

Packages are:

  SUNWifp       Sun Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop Device Driver
  
  SUNWifph      Sun Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop Driver Header Files

  SUNWvtsfp     SunVTS IFP Controller Test

Below are outlined steps needed to install the drivers.

Insert Fiber Channel PCI FC-AL software cdrom.

        # cd /cdrom/cdrom0

        # cd Product

        # su

        # pkgadd -d .


The following packages are available:
  1  SUNWifp       Sun Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop Device Driver
                   (sparc) 11.6,REV=1998.03.09.22.27
  2  SUNWifph      Sun Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop Driver Header Files
                   (sparc) 11.6,REV=1998.03.09.22.27
  3  SUNWvtsfp     SunVTS IFP Controller Test
                   (sparc) 2.1.2,REV=12.98.01.30

Select all packages and install

Reboot system
