Description
Booting from an Sun StorEdge[TM] A1000 fails with the following errors :

cannot assemble drivers for /pseudo/rdnexus@1/rdriver@0,0:a

cannot mount root on /pseudo/rdnexus@1/rdriver@0,0:a

Seen with: Raid manager 6.11u2, Solaris[TM] 7

After changing the Raid Module Name, the next reboot fails with :

cannot assemble drivers for /pseudo/rdnexus@1/rdriver@0,0:a

cannot mount root on /pseudo/rdnexus@1/rdriver@0,0:a

when booting to an A1000.
SOLUTION SUMMARY:
Solution:

boot the system using cdrom -sw.

mount / from the LUN0 on A1000 to /a.

Check the /a/etc/system file for the correct forceloads (rdriver and rdnexus).

Make sure the files rdriver, rdnexus and rdriver.conf exsist under /a/kernel/drv.

Check the module name in /a/etc/osa/mnf.

Make sure the mname in /a/kernel/drv/rdriver.conf file has the same mnf file module name. If
it is different edit /a/kernel/drv/rdriver.conf and change the mname="OLDNAME" to mname='NEWNAME' which is the mnf file module name.

Make sure you change the mname values for all the entries in /a/kernel/drv/rdriver.conf whose parent="/pseudo/rdnexus@1"

Umount /a

Now the system will boot from A1000.
