Description

In updating Sun Fire System Controllers to firmware revision 5.13.x, a number of reports have been received that after updating ScApp and RTOS, the SC reboots but the network settings on the SC are lost.

SOLUTION SUMMARY:

The issue has been root-caused and only affects System Controllers which currently run 5.11.x firmware or have been upgraded to 5.12.x from 5.11.x. A fix is in progress to resolve the issue. System Controllers which shipped from the factory with 5.12.x and higher are NOT affected.

While upgrading a System Controller:

1. Issue the flashupdate commands via the Serial Port and not an SC telnet session.
