The following error message appears when trying to load a dsmd.dump file into redx on a Sun Fire[TM] 12K/15K:

This is not a dstop file:

In the event of a domain hang, dsmd will reset(1M) the domain, collect CPU registers and hardware configuration dumps,and save them to two files:

o dsmd.dump.yymmdd.hhmm.ss (redx non-readable)

o dsmd.hwconfig.yymmdd.hhmm.ss (redx readable)

Action:

Obtain the dsmnd.hwconfig file and use redx to read it.

Or view the dsmnd.dump with showxirstate -f <dumpfile>. See KBA 79940 for some information on how to run the showxirstate command, and what expected output provides.
