I finally found Vince Hoang's patch(*) in the archive & it did the trick
quite nicely . As you say I had to run 'rancid-run' twice & the error/warning
message went away . Everything as far as rancid is concerned so far has been
fine .
Now if I could just get ViewVC(**) working so I can view the repo's
direct it'd be great . But it appears that rancid doesn't build a repo but uses
working copies . So I may have to find a differant viewer .
