    Also, there are two alpha images;  rancid-2.3.2a7.tar.gz and
    rancid-wcgallar.tar.gz. The latter pre-dates the former by just a bit;
    both now include fixes for use of SSH with HP Procurve switches.

though a8 and a9 are now on the ftp site so are presumably the preferred 
versions.
