[rancid] Cluster support?

Hi,

 

I've just stumbled upon RANCID and installed / configured it. Our
network uses several switch clusters which I'd like to receive and audit
configs of.

 

I did a bit of searching and came across this:

That does seem a bit rough... has anyone come up with a more elegant
solution?
