[rancid] .cloginrc - problem with password

my .cloginrc:

add user 10.0.0.3 xxxxxxxxxx
add password 10.0.0.3 {P-------l----3--------@} {L------x-x-0----l-------}

from console:

xxxxxxxxxx at 10.0.0.3's password:
Permission denied, please try again.

Error: Check your passwd for 10.0.0.3

why?
