When you SSH, do you have to press something to see the prompt?

It looks like RANCID doesn't recognise the prompt, but it seems like it 
has pressed something.

A quick google suggests a change in 3.5 might be relevant:

"hlogin: when refactoring prompt, eat full lines before looking for the 
prompt"
