[rancid] sendmail

$ grep SENDMAIL etc/rancid.conf
SENDMAIL="/usr/sbin/sendmail"
$ grep SENDMAIL /var/lib/rancid/bin/control_rancid
# SENDMAIL location
SENDMAIL=${SENDMAIL:=/usr/sbin/sendmail};

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I shouldn't have had to make that change to
control_rancid for it to work right.  Shouldn't control_rancid use the
/etc/rancid.conf variable?  What am I missing?
