[rancid] Configuring Rancid

Dear All,
I have a plan to automate backup my  Cisco routers and switches and found Rancid would be ideal.I have just installed Rancid using dnf on centos 8 64 Bit version
rancid-3.12-1.el8.x86_64
I checked on the net but was not able to find any good configuring docs
appreciate any advice or a good link which has complete documentation on how to configure rancid
