THANK YOU ALL (*Alan McKinnon & heasley * ), for the proposed solution to
the pblm @ hand.
It helped me address the pblm.

*NEW PBLM*: I am using "tac_plus" to login to an application, It is working
(Authenticating) for command line (ksh Script),
but for login throughj a java based GUI, it is failing with:
