Level 1 Data Cache Test (l1dcachetest) |
l1dcachetest
exercises the level1 D cache in the CPU module of a Sun system. The test writes, reads, and verifies access of multiple virtual addresses. The test determines addresses by the buffer size, which is chosen according to the size of the l1dcache. The test writes to an address bigger than the cache size, to cause thrashing (cache misses) in up to 4-way set associative data caches.
