E10000[TM] Correctable Error reporting not enabled by default |
|
19 Jun 2002 |
Currently, correctable memory error reporting is disabled by default on all
E10000 systems. This default can and should be overridden with the
appropriate entries in the /etc/system file. This is true for all domains
running within the E10000 cabinet.
The following should be added to the /etc/system file of each domain:
set report_ce_log=1
set report_cd_console=1
These changes will take effect after the next reboot.
For more current information on this subject, search http://www.corp/archives/ and select
appropriate aliases including starfire-support. According to bug 4178362 report_ce_log is not
defined in the latest KU (both 2.5.1 and 2.6) as of Dec 1998.
APPLIES TO: Operating Systems/Solaris/Solaris 2.5.1, AFO Vertical Team Docs, AFO Vertical Team Docs/Kernel
