For best performance populate CPU Processors/Modules and Memory Dimms
as follows:
Ultra Enterprise 3x00, 4x00, 5x00, 6x00 Systems:
----------------------------------------------------
Processors:
Fill all PROC 0 locations on all CPU/Memory boards before filling any
PROC 1 locations.
After all PROC 0 locations are filled, you can begin filling the PROC 1
locations, again starting from the lowest slot number to the highest.
Do not mix processor speeds within a system. Mixing processor cache sizes
is permitted within a system but not within a CPU/Memory board.
Memory Dimms:
When adding memory fill group 0 across all system boards beginning with
the first system board, then proceed to fill group 1 across all system
boards.
Begin with the largest density banks first (128 Mbyte SIMMs), continue
with medium sized bank (32 Mbyte SIMMs), and finish with the smallest
banks (8 Mbyte SIMMs).
SC1000, 1000E, 2000, 2000E Systems:
-----------------------------------
CPU Modules:
First populate cpu location "A" across all system boards beginning with the
first system board, once location "A" is filled across all system boards,
then populate location "B" across all system boards again beginning with the
first system board.
Do not mix CPU module speeds within a system. Mixing CPU module cache sizes
is permitted within a system but not within the same system board.
Memory Dimms:
When adding memory fill group 0 across all system boards beginning with the
first system board, then Group 1 on all system boards, followed by Group 2
and Group 3.
