How to enable Memory ECC error reporting on Starfire[TM] by default |
|
9 Jul 2002 |
Bug 4045242 indicates that the /etc/system variable report_ce_console is set by
default in Solaris[TM] 2.6.
On the Starfire sun4u1 kernel this is not the case; on a 2.6 5/98 Starfire
domain:-
# adb -k
physmem 7cfbf
report_ce_console/X
report_ce_console:
report_ce_console: 0
So, we need to have the entry
set report_ce_console=1
entered into /etc/system to get memory ECC errors reported to the console and /var/adm/messages.
(Note: the variable report_ce_log is no longer defined).
