How to run hpost on E10000 system board with no I/O configured |
|
15 Jul 1999 |
When running hpost on a stand-alone system board which doesn't have any
Sbus cards, hpost will fail as follows :
phase iom_probe: I/O module type probe...
No minimum system left after I/O module type probe! Bailing out!
... board dump ...
Exitcode = 76: Unable to configure a bootable system
To allow the system board to run without any I/O, simply add
the following entry to the .postrc file for the domain.
no_scards_ok
This file is located in /var/opt/SUNWssp/etc/<platform>/<domain>/.postrc
Similar issues with system boards without memory can be avoided
by add the entry :
no_memory_ok
to the .postrc file.
