23185 | Sun StorEdge[TM] T3: How To: 'ftp' connect from the T3 to a host. | 5 Nov 2002 |
Status | Issued |
Description |
How does one 'ftp' from the T3 array to a host? The 'ftp' utility works when going from a Solaris host to the array, but does not seem to work from the array to a host.
The T3 array is able to 'ftp' to a host, but the command has been hidden. To ftp from a T3 array to a host (or another T3), use the ".ftp" command on the array. For example:
t3:/:<1>.ftp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Be aware, you must use an IP address. At this time, the '.ftp' command does not work if given a hostname, even if that name is in the /etc/hosts file on the T3 array.
