What SCSI IDs will my diskboard be set to?
SCSI IDs by default are set by the slot of which the board is installed.
Slot# | Disk0 | Disk1 | Slot# | Disk0 | Disk1 | |
0 | 4 | 5 | 8 | 10 | 11 | |
1 | 6 | 7 | 9 | 0 | 1 | |
2 | 0 | 1 | 10 | 12 | 13 | |
3 | 10 | 11 | 11 | 2 | 3 | |
4 | 2 | 3 | 12 | 14 | 15 | |
5 | 12 | 13 | 13 | 8 | 9 | |
6 | 8 | 9 | 14 | 0 | 1 | |
7 | 14 | 15 | 15 | 10 | 11 |
To change the default SCSI ID, you will need to change the jumper J0702 to Pins 1-2 for Disk0. For Disk1 ID, change J0703 to Pin 1-2. This will enable you to change the SCSI ID by adding jumpers to A0 - A3 as required.
To change the SCSI disk IDs, you will change the jumpers for A0 - A3. Each jumper has a value, which is listed below. Enabling the correct jumper(s) by placing a jumper on pins 1-2 for each of A0 - A3 jumpers, you set that ID value .
A0 = value of 1
A1 = value of 2
A2 = value of 4
A3 = value of 8
Examples:
For ID #3 - enable A0 & A1
For ID #9 - enable A0 & A3
For ID #14 - enable A1, A2 & A3
For ID #0 - you will have none jumped
