Description

On an E250 there are 6 sensors located around the machine. They are labeled as follows:

   CPU0
   CPU1
   MB0
   MB1
   PDB
   SCSI
   CPU0 AND CPU1 are for the cpu's
MB0 AND MB1 are for the system board
PDB is for the power distribution board
SCSI is for the disk scsi backplane

In a typical "prtdiag -v" they would be viewed as such

=================================

The warning and the critical temperature thresholds have changed from what is in the Sun Enterprise 250 Server Owner's Guide.

The new thresholds are as follows:

   Ambient temperature inside the machine
   Warning 55 degrees C
   Critical 60 degrees C

Cpu module temperatures are now

   Warning 63 degrees C
   Critical 68 degrees C

The E250 also issues a warning if the temperature reaches a low threshold.

The low temperature thresholds are as follows

   Ambient 5 degrees C
   CPU 0 degrees C

There is no automatic shutdown when there is a low temperature condition.
