message of:
This patch is a point patch meant for tazmo ( E 450 ) systems Only.
Terminating Patch Installation
SOLUTION SUMMARY:
If you run /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v you will see that the
system configuration sees this system as a Sun Ultra 450 instead of
reporting it as a Sun Enterprise 450.
System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4u Sun Ultra 450
(2 X UltraSPARC-II 296MHz)
You will also notice this same description from the OBP prompt
by typing banner at the OK.
You can change the nvram description from Ultra to Enterprise by
changing the variable mfg-options to a value of 49.
The change can be made in two different ways.
1. While the system is booted.
# /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/eeprom mfg-options=49
2. While at the OK prompt.
OK setenv mfg-options 49
OK reset-all
Rerun usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v you will see that the
system configuration sees this system as a Sun Enterprise 450
and the patch will install normally.
