Description

E4000 will not boot if modem is connected to serial port a.
No ouput will go to color monitor (console) and modem lights
will flicker when  system is powered up. It will apper as system
is hung.  If modem is powered off or disconnected system will boot
without any problem.

SOLUTION SUMMARY:

1. Check Key-switch is not set at diag position on E4000 server.

2. Check eeprom parameter "diag-switch?" is set to false.

INTERNAL SUMMARY:

This may be true with another EX000 series server if they have 
keyswitch with diag position.
