Boot fails with "munged memory list" errors |
|
14 Jun 1999 |
Attempting to boot an E10K from a Solaris 2.6 boot disk, I got the
following error:
Rebooting with command: boot
Boot device: /sbus@48,0/QLGC,isp@0,10000/sd@0,0:a File and args:
panic[cpu8]/thread=0x10404040: munged memory list = 0x1040395c
and the system immediately reset & rebooted again with the same errors.
SOLUTION SUMMARY:
I'd forgotten to do a domain_remove / domain_create. The system was
still shown in the domain_status output as Solaris 2.7.
After re-creating the domain as Solaris 2.6 everything worked fine.
