src/p card causes e450 to fail boot with upa-port error. |

Description
Enterprise 450 is loaded with Solaris 2.x and is fully functional.
The src/p IO card is added to the appropriate slot in the back of
the 450, and cabled to the middle 8 drive back plane of the array.
The addition of the card is verified at the Open Boot Prom level.
Diagnostics such as "probe-scsi-all" and "obdiag" appropriately
identify the card. However reboot of the system now fails with:
warning: pci6:no upa-port id property
The only way to get the system to boot again is to remove the
card from the slot.
SOLUTION SUMMARY:
Solution
The problem is solved at the OBP level. The minimum PROM revision
required for the src/p card is 3.12.12. In this particular case, the
PROM version was 3.5. By installing patch 106122-06 (or later) and
upgrading the PROM to the latest level, (in this case 3.16.2), the
system booted up normally.
Note: the same PROM requirement exist for the E250. The PROM upgrade
patch is 106503-04 or later.
