A3500FC not seen by server after reinstall of Solaris (TM) Operating Environment 2.6
After reinstalling Solaris 2.6, the server could no longer communicate with an A3500FC. All Solaris and RM 6.22 patches are installed. The array could not be seen with either format or lad.
healthck -a gives an error: no modules on this system
lad fails with: sse driver failed to attach, no arrays were found
We determined with dmesg that the server had an FC100 hba which requires patch
SOLUTION SUMMARY:
The required ifp packages for the FC100 hba on Solaris 2.6 are not on the Solaris install cd. These packages can be found on the install cd that comes with the FC100 hba or on later releases of the OS (Solaris 7 & 8). Install these ifp packages, then the
