28497 | Why all Sunray Appliances don't get login prompt | 19 Nov 2001 |
Status | Issued |
Description |
Rather than getting a login prompt, the Sunray Appliance hangs at the hour glass with 2 dashes.
Executing utadm -p on the server gives the following error:
"error: no interfaces configured"
SOLUTION SUMMARY:
Usually when all the appliances hang at the hour glass with 2 dashes, it means waiting for DHCP. Check if in.dhcpd is running or not. This daemon can be started by running /etc/init.d/dhcp start on the Sunray server.
If the Sunray server has only one interface, then the above error will appear. The Sunray server should contain 2 interface cards. One for the regular network and the second for the Sunray interconnect. Configured interfaces can typically be seen by running utadm -p.
