The Sun Fire[TM] 12K/15K System Controller (SC) logs the following error messages:

WARNING: Component ID is up-version: Actual: 603D40FD for Man Ether Hub IO00 Assuming equivalent to: 403D40FD 
WARNING: Component ID is up-version: Actual: 603D40FD for Man Ether Hub IO01 Assuming equivalent to: 403D40FD 
WARNING: Component ID is up-version: Actual: 603D40FD for Man Ether Hub IO02 Assuming equivalent to: 403D40FD             

Explanation:

From Rene Fennet CPRE:

This is a fairly new but known issue. A new version of the hub chip introduced in the system that needed to be done urgently due to short supply of the older types. This had to happen quickly so the software hasn't been updated (patched) yet. This will be done in the future but it hasn't got a very high priority because it doesn't affect the working of the system. Hence only the warning.

Action:

See Bug ID 4649862 for details. This warning message is a warning only. It should be ignored. That being said, the warning messages should be fixed by patch 112488-04 for SMS 1.2 and integrated into SMS 1.3.
