CRD is a simple daemon to monitor events on Chaparral K series RAID controllers (K5412, k7413). At start-up it reads the events from the controller and logs them to syslog. Hence forth, it periodically checks for new events and logs them to syslog.

CRD is available as a binary for Solaris Sparc and NetBSD-sparc64. On Solaris, it should work with any bus on which the sgen(7d) driver works. This excludes FC-AL buses, at least the isp2100, where sgen does not seem to work. If anyone knows why that is, please contact me. On NetBSD, it just works.

Further development sees sporadic advances in adding a command-line interface (CLI) to the daemon. If the stars align correctly, I might have something in a few months.
