any follow-up on rancid integration with opennms?

I stumbled upon an email in the list archives of someone trying to integrate opennms into rancid (or at least using opennms to feed devices into rancid).  Has there been any progress/updates on this?  This to me would be a very handy way of discovering the network and getting the configs into rancid.
