does not turn on. This problem may be seen in the field if one of the following
two scenario's occur: (1) a disk board is added to a system with a pre-existing
disk board or (2) a system is upgraded by adding other modules (CPU, I/O
boards, etc). POST will fail with 'SCSI_VDD' error message in DIAG mode. |

Terminal Concentrator (370-1434-02) |
When the Annex Terminal Concentrator is
powered on, it sends a break signal to each port, bringing down any attached
Sun Servers to the OBPROM prompt. Although any attached server can survive
a power failure on the Annex Terminal Concentrator, the servers will be
interrupted when power is restored to the Terminal Concentrator unless the
serial cables are disconnected while the Annex Terminal Concentrator is
performing its POST. |
