Components Affected Description
A0186-1
U
SunPCi II (375-0131-04) and SunPCi IIpro (375-3051-01) cards SunPCi II and SunPCi IIpro cards may not respond after rapid/successive power cycling.
A0182-1
C
18GB and 36GB IBM disk drives 18GB and 36GB IBM disk drives experiencing high failure rate in high humidity and high temperature environments.
A0164-1
C
FC100/P FC-AL PCI Card (375-0040-02 or below) A host system using the 375-0040-01 or -02 FC100/P FC-AL PCI card to attach to FC-AL storage (StorEdge A5x00 and A3500) may experience loop errors, which may affect data access to that storage. In extreme cases, this can result in the host losing its connection to the storage completely. However, it is more common for the loop errors to be intermittent initially, perhaps becoming more frequent over a period of days or a few weeks. The failures are sometimes sensitive to the data pattern on the FC-AL loop, so they are not always reproducible with current diagnostic software.
A0160-1
U
PCI FC-AL single-loop host adapter (375-0040)

Systems with PCI FC-AL host adapter cards may experience loop reset problems, making the system unusable (only 41 cards are affected).

A0141-1
C
4 Disk Backplane (501-4148-04 or below)
8 Disk Backplane (501-4189-04 or below)

Systems with the 4 or 8 disk backplane may have other disk drives go offline when another disk drive is hot-plugged. IBM drives do not appear to be affected by this problem.

A0139-1
U

PGX PCI-based 8-bit Frame Buffer (370-2256-02)

Systems with a PGX PCI-based 8-bit Frame Buffer may display a vertical black stripe when running the OpenWindows environment. This occurs only with frame buffers with an Fcode version 1.09 (determined by reading the label on the EPROM located at U4 on the frame buffer: 113-377-1-109).

A0138-1
C
SBus/FC SOC+ Host Adapters SBus/FC SOC+ Host Adapters may experience recoverable data transfer read errors. This can result in individual user applications, like Oracle, to stop running.
